| Dear Friends, Hot off the press - Bhasha Day Photos!! From Anjali and Vasundhara - Hindi Co-Directors: "Our first participatory style Hindi Sammelan was a great success! Special thank you to all the parents, teachers and students who participated.
A big round of applause for the Jhawar family. Their play ''Kissa Hindi Ka" was truly broadway showmanship and we hope that a wider audience will be able to see it on March 31st at our annual function.
Special thank you to the Gurnani family for transporting us to Bombay and leaving us nostalgic with the sights and sounds of this magnificent metro. Thank you also to Sanjay Kantu and many other parents who so willingly helped us with photography all afternoon. We hope to continue this format next year and hope to see a great variety of talent." Mark your calendar for March 11th, Sunday for a special Film showing at the Sid Jacobson JCC in Roslyn. This is a unique collaboration with the JCC, over a year in the making. It is a free family event, film with refrehments and discussions afterwards so that we can meet and connect. Let your friends and family know. | YICG is proud to present BANYAN - Build A Novel Youth Adult Network! It is an exciting opportunity for middle and high school students currently enrolled in our Saturday programs to be a part of this program geared toward having small groups of students working with a mentor in various team-building and mentoring activities. The goal of this program is to bring out leadership skills among our students using fun projects under the guidance of a group of adults from our community.
Activities planned during the session hours include Cooking Contests, Basketball Competitions, Spring Walkathon, Improvised Public Speaking and so on. We also plan to bring in special guests from time to time to work with the entire group. BANYAN Meeting Dates Mar 3rd 2012

YOGA 3:30-4:30 class, come join us! BADMINTON
YICG will be running a Voluntary Badminton League for parents on Saturdays from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. This will be open to parents who have their kids studying at YICG on Saturdays. Since this is a voluntary group we expect all players to actively participate in setting up the court and cleaning up after the game. COOKING and CHANTING Check class schedule. |
