Dear Deepak, Your views were noted. The extent of enthusiasm you had expressed in the post , about "Sree" being a "malayali" & "we , keralites " to be the "expected supporters / supporting viewers for him" for him also was noted. Full marks to your views. ........ But........."hold your hands close to your chest and evaluate for yourself"...... about the nature and the habits of Sree in the cricketing field ... be impartial...forget the fact that you are a Keralite... and remember first the fact that you are a citizen of India... COUNTRY comes first..then only the small STATE..... then evaluate the actions and comedies and acrobatisms done by Sree..the great Sree..... then ask yourself..whether you are feeling sad about himm or proud of him..? .... Mind you, he was not representing the small state of Kerala there..He was representing the great nation of INDIA .....expressing happiness after taking a catch or wicket is one thing....and doing the bereseck dance of a lunatic is another thing... all other cricketers are bowling, fielding, taking wickets....why all attention is on the great "Sree" ? Is it that he is too bog a cricketer or is it that he is an odd man in the crowd for his bahaviour ? (Almost anybody who knows a little about cricket will agree to the fact that, Sree forgets the fact that he is playing for his country... he always thinks that he is playing some small league matches and he tries all the "dramas" and "gimmicks" and "nauseating acrobatisms" to scare the great established batsmen like Smith, Ponting, etc...hahaha..whats a laugh.....) this post of yours remind me of an earlier natural calamity which had occured in the city of Mumbai, wherein many "keralites" were also victims. After about 10 days of the incident, our Chief Minister, (does not matter who it was....as long as he was represnting our state and the proud Keralites ) after umpteen number of meetings at the cabinet levels, decided to send an official to Maharashtra, to take care of the "Keralites" who had suffered out of the natural calamity there. He had forgotten the fact that , till then or even after , the Maharashtra state had been taking care of all the people , irrespective of the origin, caste , colour or the language. The maharashtra CM, knowing about the narrow minded nature of the Kerala CM, wrote an urgent letter to the Kerala CM , that as long as the sufferers were staying in Maharashtra, Maharashtra governemnt was duty bound to take care of their welfare , let it be Keralites , or Maharshtrians . And also that other state government officials were NOT wecome. Believe me, I felt so proud of the Maharshtra CM then...for his broad minded approach.. Why I narrated this incident was **for the odd feeling and the "high headedness" majority of the Keralites do have ....that they are "something great"..... **The odd nature of majority of the Keralites to support another Keralite's wrong doings. **The odd nature of majority of keralites, forgetting about his nation and talking about his state first. **The odd nature of the majority of the Keralites to go on enumerating the story of ""എന്റെ ഉപ്പാപ്പനു ഒരാന ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു"...... **The odd nature of majority of the Keralites of being a "frog in the well"... (ഗള്ഫില് ആരോടെങ്കിലും മലയാളിയോട് "where are you from " എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചാല്....ഉത്തരം എന്തെന്നോ..."I am from Kerala " എന്നാണു.......അതെ സമയം, വേറെ ഏതെങ്കിലും സംസ്ഥാനത്തില് നിന്നും ഉള്ളവരുടെ അടുത്ത് ചോദിച്ചാല് ഉത്തരം എന്തെന്നോ " I am from India " എന്നായിരിക്കും ...see the difference....
